MEET VEILA WRAY
I think my love of flowers began in childhood. I think my love of flowers began in childhood. My parents are both incredibly green fingered and I always found joy in the colour and tactile nature of our vegetable patch, garden plants and shrubs. I always appreciated the connection with blossom signalling the end of those cold, dark winter months where I grew up in North East Scotland.

Veila did the flowers for our wedding at Falside Mill, I let her know the limitations of the venue and sent some photos and immediately she had great ideas fitting in with my budget. I knew the colours I would like but didn’t have any other specifics to offer and she was great at making suggestions and knowledgeable about seasonal blooms that would be best and available for the wedding. Veila did some free-standing floral structures, filled vases for the tables and did bouquets. She suggested ribbons for the bouquet which was a great idea they looked amazing...
Not only professional and good at her job but a really nice person to spend time with. Our venue was a DIY venue, so we were setting up while Veila was there doing the flowers which was a joy she was so lovely keeping me calm and helpfully gave her opinions on aesthetics when I was flustered and indecisive. I’m tempted to hire her again just to hang out with her!”
